Brake Press Lead - 3rd Shift
We are looking for a Brake Press Lead on a 3rd shift schedule. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day functional guidance and training to operators for the overall direction and performance to provide the highest quality products for the Company.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate production to meet schedules and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed at all times, paying particular attention to safety, quality, and maintenance of equipment
- Oversee and assure that proper maintenance and care is taken on all machines and report any malfunctions or equipment problems to Management
- Maintain clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times
- Perform periodic inspections of parts being run to ensure both visual quality and dimensional quality standards are maintained
- Work closely with supervisor to foster teamwork, ensure correctness and accuracy of products, and compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Conduct daily production review of tier-1 metrics and group notification of NCMR/scrap issues
- Responsible for work center’s 5S, PMs, machine metrics, review of machine speeds, dispatch adherence, tracking daily downtime or issues on tier-1 board, managing material movement, and submitting shift pass downs
- Direct and assign work for the team, training (both DOT Compliance and on-the-job training), and coaching and auditing GDP/GMP

What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; plus, one or more years of fabrication experience. Prior leadership/supervisory experience preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, part numbers, operations sheets and other pertinent information to determine appropriate operations
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
