Assembly Material Handler - 1st Shift
We are looking for an Assembly Material Handler to join our Greenwood, IN facility. You will maintain orderly material flow in the assembly and final inspection areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Preparing and staging parts for assembly, reading/laying out work orders, counting and sorting parts, maintaining the build list/ship list, arranging work to be inspected
- Works with members of all departments to provide status updates on orders nearing shipment and coordinate efforts to maintain on-time delivery
- Prepares items accurately for assembly/production according to customer orders/instructions by retrieving parts from storage and/or inventory and scheduling by order, dispatch, etc.
- Helps oversee quality and assembly team with guidance from the team lead to ensure proper adherence to the dispatch list/build schedule
- Coordinates workflow through final inspection by staging orders to be inspected
- Coordinates reprocessing of parts in the assembly and final inspection area
- Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with established procedures, standards and blueprint production; Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners; Disassembles, re-works or salvages scrap parts; Operates drill presses, hand drills, clicker press or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
- May operate forklift upon completing certification requirements
- Maintains accurate documentation by logging and tracking parts through ERP system
- Maintains the warehouse and staging area in a safe and orderly manner
- Helps train new employees as required

What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of related experience and/or training
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
