Prototype Coordinator

We are looking for a Prototype Coordinator to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1^st shift schedule. You will review engineering prototypes for manufacturability.

What You’ll Do:

• Reviews engineering designs through design control meetings and master control software.  Works with engineers to ensure accurate design of product for manufacturability of product from start to finish (fabrication through assembly)
• Communicates with production floor employees in relation to design setup piece for fabrication ensuring updates/information/changes/limitations /adjustments in programing (Turret, Laser, CNC), bending (Brakes), laser etching, etc. are communicated to the engineering department for proper design development.  Including but not limited to coordination of bend order for brakes, clarity of prints, and program verification
• Recommends/communicates design changes and monitors departmental limitations (hours, setup, etc.) and identifiers (poka-yoke)
• Assembles prototypes in accordance with engineering and customer design requirements
• Maintains subject matter expert knowledge on tray manufacturing and assembly
• Coordinates training documentation for new employees through certified trainers for Assembly department
• Assembles remakes in accordance with work order requirements

 What You’ll Need:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
• Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
