Staff Accountant - Therma
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The Staff Accountant will be a self-motivated problem solver.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Assist with job cost, revenue recognition and WIP reporting
- Prepare journal entries with appropriate support
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
- Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
- Work on ad hoc projects
- Assist with the implementation of internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email) and Windows environment
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years accounting / finance experience
