Reports To:  Group Leader 

 

Position Overview

AMA Group is looking for an Electrical Senior Associate, Project Manager who will be considered a highly skilled and proficient subject matter expert. You will work on and manage various projects, from large to small, providing technical leadership. This position will be client interfacing and responsible for all facets of product delivery to clients. We are also expecting this person to still involved technically on certain projects, you will be expected to use AutoCAD and Revit. 

 

This role will be a first-level Manager where you direct, control, and monitor all project activities. You will make decisions to achieve defined goals. Success in meeting team objectives has a significant impact on the group.  Your title within the company will be Senior Associate. 

 

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for directing, controlling, and monitoring all project activities; may also manage a process or function. In your role, you will:

  • Focus on client interactions and meeting clients’ expectations
  • Be responsible for all facets of product delivery to clients and be accountable for client satisfaction 
  • Responsible for planning, interpreting, organizing, scheduling, and managing projects through all phases of development
  • Establish and monitor the budget, manage the project team, and prepare schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Oversee design development, production of working drawings, and construction administration on projects 
  • Maintain an overview of the project team’s workload and commitments to successfully meet deadlines and balance resource utilization
  • At times you will be relied upon to be the senior designer on assigned projects
  • Manage 1 – 2 direct reports   
Requirements

  

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; PE highly preferred

 

Experience

  • Minimum total of 10 years of experience as an electrical engineer with an MEP background 
  • 7+ years of electrical design experience
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience 
  • Experience independently leading projects 
  • Have a strong understanding of the finances of the project and preparation of proposals 
  • Must have Time Management and scheduling skills 
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written), with experience presenting (you will often be required to present solutions directly to 'c-suite' level stakeholders)
  • Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience needed

Salary: $130k - 150k 

 

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
