Ross Video is looking for an individual who is focused on the development of streaming graphics workflows with a focus on HTML5 offerings, across both on-premises and cloud-based solutions. This is a role for a creative leader who also maintains a deep, hands-on understanding of technology. The position will be home office based, to support sales opportunities with the sales team.

What the job is all about:

  • Be the subject matter expert on streaming graphics platforms and workflows for Ross Video and the motion graphics portfolio
  • Work with the Development Team on product roadmap, development priorities, product direction, and new products – based on industry and customer trends
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams in on-line and in-person meeting situations
  • Work with Director of Graphics Product Management and corporate marketing to define the product messaging, value propositions, website, and other collateral to promote Ross Video’s streaming graphics solution(s)
  • Ensure technical accuracy of promotional literature, catalogs, website, product user guide documentation and other customer-facing content
  • Act as a liaison with other Ross Video product lines and OEM partners in collaboration with the Director of Graphics Product Management and the Technical Product Manager, to define and promote software/hardware cross-team pollination
  • Help maintain and support the demo content and systems for customer-facing demos using on premises and cloud-based instances of the product
  • Champion internal training for Tech Support, DTE, PV, and Manufacturing
  • Collaborate with the Director of Graphics Product Management and the Product Specialist(s) to create video tutorials for training and marketing purposes
  • Participate in international, local and regional trade show planning and execution
  • Assist high profile customers to develop or maintain complex workflows
  • Create regionally focused demo content and write scripts and small software applications to demonstrate functionality of the product line in any region Ross Video actively sells products and solutions
  • Assist Regional or Key Account Sales Managers and Business Development Managers with responses to tender documents. Produce workflow and wiring diagrams and participate in key customer demonstrations and proof-of-performance.
  • Provide creative and technical guidance for the integration of streaming graphics platform and existing XPression platforms and software tools

Who you are:

  • Extensive streaming solutions experience, including public and private cloud hosted workflows
  • A solid understanding or public cloud systems and configurations
  • Background in Software as a Service (SaaS) business models
  • Broadcast and / or live sports / esports design and playout graphics experience
  • Understanding of SaaS, subscription, and perpetual licensing sales models
  • Able to effectively discuss Amazon Web Services models for Cloud deployment
  • Knowledge of graphic design and graphics production workflows
  • Ability to define and communicate value propositions for the product line to a variety of customers and disciplines within the customer organization
  • Extensive HTML5 design and development background
  • Basic computer programming experience desired
  • Knowledge of Salesforce required
  • History of working in JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, and Trello is beneficial 
  • 5+ years of experience with broadcast equipment in pre- or post-sales environments
  • Experience in selling and marketing broadcast equipment and/or workflows preferred
  • Able to take complex technical details and convey the information to others in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Knowledge of broadcast graphics systems & IT workflows
  • Background in programming, scripting, and databases is favored
  • Active Passport with the ability to travel across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and Asia, as needed
  • Post-secondary degree or trade school diploma
  • Background in technical training is a plus
  • Ability to work with asset management systems is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Cloud software is expected
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and very detail orientated
  • Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
