We are seeking a skilled Broadcast Network Engineering Specialist to design, configure, and maintain IP-based broadcast networks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SMPTE 2110, PTP (Precision Time Protocol), and network switch configuration to ensure the seamless transport of video, audio, and data in broadcast environments. You will play a key role in improving our systems and supporting our customers by optimizing network infrastructure for reliable and high-performance media transport solutions.

What the job is all about:
- Configure and optimize network switches for broadcast workflows, ensuring low-latency, high-performance media transport.
- Design, deploy, and maintain IP-based broadcast networks using SMPTE ST 2110 standards.
- Implement and manage PTP synchronization across networked broadcast systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IP-based video and audio signal transport.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including broadcast engineers and IT professionals, to integrate network infrastructure with broadcast operations.
- Monitor network performance, conduct routine maintenance, and apply security best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to enhance existing network systems and develop innovative solutions that improve reliability and efficiency.
- Document configurations, network diagrams, and workflows.
- Support customers and help improve products, solutions, workflows, and system designs
Who you are:
- Strong knowledge of SMPTE 2110, NMOS, PTP, and multicast networking.
- Experience configuring and managing network switches (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc.) for broadcast applications.
- Understanding of QoS, VLANs, and multicast routing in a media-over-IP environment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, IGMP snooping, and ST 2110 analysis.
- Experience in live production, post-production, or broadcast operations is an asset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Arista ACE, or equivalent) are a plus.
