Salary: $129,000 - $143,000

 

Location: Remote

 

Employment Logistics: 

 

The Commercial Team is seeking a dynamic Business Process & Communications Manager with deep expertise in the transportation and logistics industry to drive process efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and effective communication across our commercial organization. This role is instrumental in setting and refining baseline expectations and KPIs, optimizing our CRM workflows, and delivering strategic insights to executive leadership through compelling presentations.

The ideal candidate is a decisive leader who understands commercial processes, data strategy, and top-down reporting. They should have the ability to bridge strategy, technology, and execution—empowering sales teams while ensuring leadership has the visibility needed to drive business growth.

Your Mission in Motion:

 

  • Ensure customer success by selling the OnTrac solution to existing customers and gaining commitment for additional volume.
  • Support customer’s day to day operations.
  • Support Director of Account Management accounts through reporting, administrative and sales-related tasks to achieve maximum territory effectiveness.  
  • Manage daily account activities and deliverables in support of customer expectations and contractual requirements. 
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings as needed. 
  • Employ business development best practices developed through collaboration with peers and other internal teams. 
  • Responsible for business review preparation, presentation, and follow-through. 
  • Perform any other task or assignment deemed necessary for the organization.

 

 

Paving your way to your success: 

 

  • Process Optimization & Strategy: 
    • Develop and implement commercial processes that align with business objectives, ensuring clear workflows within Salesforce CRM
    • Define baseline KPIs and expectations for sales performance, pipeline management, and customer engagement.
    • Collaborate with sales, account management, and operations teams to refine processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • CRM Leadership & Decision Making:  
    • Serve as the primary lead for process enhancements, ensuring the CRM system supports commercial strategies
    • Ensure Salesforce is configured to support commercial workflows, data integrity, and reporting accuracy; providing guidance on best practices and system improvements.
    • Partner with IT and sales operations to execute system updates that enhance user adoption and data visibility.
  • Data Strategy & Reporting:  
    • Own the top-down reporting structure, ensuring leadership has clear insights into pipeline health, sales performance, and revenue trends.
    • Develop dashboards and report frameworks that provide real-time visibility into commercial metrics.
    • Leverage data to drive informed decision-making, helping leadership identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Communicates & Executive-Level Storytelling:  
    • Translate complex commercial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
    • Develop and deliver high-impact PowerPoint presentations that bridge strategy, data, and business outcomes
    • Ensure alignment between sales teams and leadership by creating engaging, structured communication plans.

 

The Must-Haves:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, preferably in commercial strategy, sales operations, or CRM management.
  • Proven track record of implementing commercial processes, setting KPIs, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce, with the ability to configure workflows, drive adoption, and optimize reporting.
  • Strong data acumen, with experience in building top-down reporting structures and leveraging insights for decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling PowerPoint decks for executive audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and drive strategic initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, partnering with sales, operations, IT, and executive teams.
