Location: Remote

Pay: $100-$105K per year + bonus

Shift: Monday - Friday 7 am-5 pm

 

Employment Logistics: 

 

The Sr Manager of Linehaul is responsible for the development and growth of relationships with customers, vendors, and independent contractors. They are also responsible for planning, scheduling, and dispatching customer freight from OnTrac facilities to customers' distribution centers, facilities, or final assigned destinations. This role owns the relationship with our valued independent contractors by not only maintaining relationships but also negotiating rates and service levels. Additionally, they are instrumental in the successful coordination of timely and accurate daily shipments. The key responsibilities of this cross-functional position are to provide superior internal and external customer service, negotiate rates with customers and contractors, respond to questions, and manage a dispatch team to troubleshoot and monitor the movement of freight to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The Must-Haves: 

 

  • 2 to 5 years of Logistics/Supply Chain working experience, dispatching experience, transportation experience, engineering knowledge and business analyses experience 

  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) 

  • 5 years management experience, including Previous management proficiency in driver routing and dispatching 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge with advanced Excel experience 

 

Your Mission in Motion: 

 

  • Responsible for the management of profit and loss operations (P&L). 

  • Negotiates customer contracts, rates, and pickup times. 

  • Negotiates contracts with Regional Service Providers or other contractors for tractor-trailer usage. 

  • Manages the scheduling of pickup times and pickup procedures. 

  • Foresees service opportunities and implements strategies to achieve appropriate levels of service, while also resolving internal and external service issues. 

  • Oversees high-volume shippers throughout the Western United States. 

  • Supervises a team of Local Pick-Up Managers. 

  • Manages communications with Dispatchers to ensure on-time arrivals at HUBs for freight processing. 

  • Schedules dispatches by analyzing trends in customer volumes and dispatch times. 

  • Possesses the ability to analyze current workflows for optimum availability. 

  • Collaborates with cross-functional departments to improve efficiency.
