Electrical Engineer - Medium Voltage - P2S

Schedule: Hybrid (3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote)
Salary: $135,000 - $180,000 

Level: Senior 

P2S has an excellent opportunity for a talented electrical engineer to support medium-voltage infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience with: 

Experience with medium–voltage (2.4kV—35kV) infrastructure design, including specification of associated switchgear, transformers, and other related medium-voltage equipment. Experience with underground distribution system design, shore power design, and related calculations. Specification and coordination of protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium-voltage electrical systems.

Position Requirements 

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy Systems 
-Registered Professional Engineer license preferred 
-Minimum 10 years experience 
-Able to work on electrical infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision and guide design teams
-Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit 
-Prior experience working on port projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits on federal sites. 
-Possess strong record-keeping and organizational skills 
 

Working Knowledge

-National Electrical Code 
-ETAP/SKM preferred
-Microsoft Office Suite 
-Revit preferred
-AutoCAD preferred
 

Duties: 

Pre-Design Engineering:

-Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports 
-Prepare electrical schematic designs 

Project Management

-Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants 
-Provide mentorship to design engineers 
-Prepare proposals independently for clients 
-Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients 

Construction Administration 

-Review and respond to RFI’s 
-Review equipment submittals 
-Perform punch walks and prepare punch list report
