Sr. Staff IT Product Manager, Operations - Legence
Legence is in the process of strengthening our Information Technology Product organization and have identified the need for a Sr. Staff IT Product Manager, Operations position.

Overview:
The IT Staff Product Manager, Operations role is responsible for building and leading LEGENCE’s enterprise strategy and capabilities. This individual will partner with business units on the prioritization and execution of capability development initiatives to realize business goals. This individual will drive our Project Operations (both construction and engineering design) and relevant integration functions as a thought leader including requirements gathering, roadmap prioritization, and collaboration with business and IT engineering departments to deliver best-in-class solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting and implementing Operations technology solutions.
You will be working with our ERP systems, applications such as Procore, and other software that we, with your input define on our technology roadmap and bridging the gap between the customer’s business requirements and the application landscape. You will consult, challenge and advise our customers on how to best utilize existing and planned solutions in relation to their business requirements.
This role demands advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and communicates with a diverse set of stakeholders (employees and management) and partners in a manner that breaks down complex challenges into actionable steps that drive results. This individual leads as a team player who is able to build trust and establish strong working relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization of features against business needs, technology imperatives, and industry standards.
- Document vision, business requirements, and functional design for system improvements and Operations projects working with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the engineering teams.
- Specify and maintain requirements artifacts including Context Diagrams, Process and Workflow Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Use Case Models, and Use Case Specifications.
- Conduct research to determine whether solutions to business/technical requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
- Manage the training solution delivery model, which may include providing training to users on new functionality, giving refresher courses on existing functionality, and updating training materials.
- Oversee testing of new functionality as part of User Acceptance Testing including test plan/build collaboration and educating business users on high quality testing.
- Provide critical thinking and facilitate discussions needed to drive outcomes and results to meet project goals by serving as cross-work stream SME and escalation point.
- Responsible for owning follow ups and closing gaps related to overall project approach, design issues, project execution tasks and issues; take ownership of assigned gaps; work with team to resolve and present findings.

- Good at guiding our customers in how to best utilize the IFS applications in relation to their business requirements.
- Confident in designing solutions, challenge and advise customers, and deliver on expectation thus ensuring success for both parties.
- Triggered by the contrast of understanding the business objectives and end-to-end processes, as well as digging down in details to achieve the best possible solution
- Profoundly interested in how systems can support business processes
Qualifications:
- BA/BS, MS, preferably in a technology-related or business field.
- 10 years of in-depth knowledge of the processes and automation in the construction project and fabrication operations area of a major ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Deltek, Spectrum, IFS) application management and/or implementation (10+ total years of experience)
- Adhere to change control processes to ensure SOX compliance and work with auditors on requests in providing documentation and system demonstrations of control configurations
- Proven ability to
- Lead complex projects and run multi-departmental project teams with minimum supervision
- Drive complicated system issues to closure
- Listen to business needs and partner to create agreeable solutions together
- Translate business requests into organized, clear and concise business requirements and document workflows and processes
- Query, analyze, and interpret data and functionality problems in complex computer systems
- Experience with multiple ERP’s such as IFS, Spectrum, Deltek and/or Sage 300 CRE – Projects modules is a plus
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders—both technical and business users
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of social intelligence
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with PowerBI and Data Warehouse report modeling and query writing
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodology
Candidate should expect some extended travel to various locations to meet with stakeholders.
